Alden Chodash vs. Ruben Ozuma

Round 1: Ozuma comes out with a little flurry to begin the 75 pound state championship match. I try to get aggressive and land a little right to the body but a wild right just misses. Ozuma lands to perfect one-twos and the experience advantage (Ruben Ozuma had over twenty fights) was starting to kick in. I land a nice flurry to the body to punctuate the first round of the Florida 75 pound championship.

Round 2: After a slow start to the round I start to catch up with Ruben and throw flurries with him. I am wobbled by a huge right hand and my legs are momentarily not there and I receive a standing eight count. Ozuma goes for the knockout late in the round and I land a few counter left hands on the impatient fighter.

Round 3: Ozuma is definitely more patient to start the round but we are both tired. I try to hold and receive a warning for holding by the referee. The round is close but at the end I know I lost but I also know I put on a courageous performance in a fight in which I was supposed to go quietly.

Outcome: Ozuma win on points
