Jeff "Left Hook" Lacy

Jeff Lacy was always a throwback puncher even in his amateur days. He is nicknamed "Left Hook" after demolishing so many of his combatants with it. Jeff Lacy also showed us he has the right to be nicknamed "Right Cross" after throwing so many brilliant ones when faced against Robin Reid. Lacy has always depended on his extreme pressure to take care of his defensive lapses. That paid ultimately when he took so clean punches en route to a near shutout loss in the hands to much more experienced southpaw Joe Calzaghe. Lacy has defeated many world class caliber opponents such as Syd Vanderpool, Omar Sheika, Robin Reid, and Scott Pemberton (at the time). Though the fight with Calzaghe was a setback I think his career has really hit the rock bottom for good, he was given another chance to become a premiere super-middleweight once more but a torn rotator cuff suffered against Vitali Tyspko nearly cost him bitterly though Lacy won a disputer 10-round majority decision.
